Mariposa is in the countryside to the north of Carvoeiro with views of the Monchique Mountains and the sea in the distance. There are some lovely design features, such as brick ceilings and archways and stylish stone floors. The sitting room has large, comfortable sofas, the dining area is separated by an arch and has a beautifully tiled, domed ceiling. The garden is charming, with a path leading through a rockery to the pool, surrounded by lawns. The garden is not fenced so care should be taken with young children. Mariposa is close to Atlantico and there are one or two good restaurants close by with numerous more in nearby Carvoeiro.
