Do children have to be in a car seat and can they be hired?
The laws in Portugal regarding baby & booster seats are the same as in the UK. If you have booked your hire car through us, Auto Jardim have a supply of baby & booster seats for which the hire charge is €5 per item, per day (maximum €70 per rental), payable on arrival; alternatively, you may prefer to take your own. If you have booked a hire car independently, we strongly suggest that you confirm baby and booster seats are available for your vehicle. The police are empowered to impose on the spot fines for failure to comply with these car seat laws.Are taxi transfers included if we do not want to hire a car.
