Originally an old farmhouse, Roxana has recently been lovingly and extremely sympathetically converted and is now a comfortable villa, full of charm and with many original features, including exposed brickwork and beamed ceilings. The owners have taken a great deal of time and trouble sourcing materials in keeping with the property; the brand new kitchen has many modern, integrated appliances and yet on first glance could be part of the original farmhouse. Likewise, the furnishings are absolutely right for the style of the house and really enhance the character.
The main sitting room has plush velour sofas and a wood burning stove and there is a second, yellow sitting room with well stocked book shelves. The bedrooms and bathrooms continue the farmhouse feel with good quality linen and simple, stylish tiles.
The villa is set in beautiful landscaped gardens and there is a shaded terrace overlooking the pool with grassy areas at the side together with a covered carport. There are a couple of nice restaurants within a fifteen minute walk and for the energetic a supermarket about twenty minutes walk.

São Brás is a sleepy town 12kms from Loulé with a central square, an interesting museum, several restaurants and few tourists. Close by is the village of Estoi which has Roman ruins, an 18th Century palace and an excellent market held on the second Sunday of each month.
