Villa Carelli - Summary

Villa Carelli is a luxurious villa, located in the golden triangle of Tuscany, near Pisa, Florence and Siena. The rooms are decorated in typical Tuscan style with terracotta floors and beamed ceilings. The furniture is a combination of luxury and antique pieces, beds and mattresses are of top quality. The bathrooms have travertine and marble floors, spacious marble or granite showers and three bathrooms have freestanding luxury baths. The private pool offers refreshing swims in the warm summer months and in cooler evenings you can enjoy the private tennis court.

The garden is terraced so care should be taken with young children. The garden has mature trees and shrubs with cypress trees, roses, lavender, jasmine, rosemary, sage and wisteria leading to an olive grove. In the miles of woods around the villa are many hiking trails and quiet picnic spots. The garden has several places for children to play and a private tennis court. The private pool is equipped with Roman steps and can be heated up to about 24 degrees. The surrounding terrace is furnished with sun beds and sun umbrellas. There is a covered terrace by the pool with dining table and chairs and in the garden are several seats in the shade.  Please note that the road into the villa is approximately 2 kms long and unpaved, not suitable for low (sports) cars.

The balconies are not entirely child-friendly, especially for children under 6 years.

There are so many traces of it’s ancient history, from the footprint of the Roman amphitheatre to the archeological remains under the 12th Century church of Saints Giovanni and Reparata and the various towers and villas dating from the 12th to the 16th Centuries.
