This classical Versilia style property dates back to the 9th century. The villa is located in a beautiful location between the sea of Forte dei Marmi and the hills of the famous vineyards of the Versilia. Villa Forte is in a good position to visit the nearby town of Pietrasanta, renowned worldwide for its marble workshops, visited by many artists, who are often to be found in the cafès of the main squares. The marble quarries of Carrara are 16kms and Lucca (41 km) with its old Renaissance walls and many historic villas is well worth a visit.
On the ground floor there is a large fully equipped kitchen with access to the garden, a dining room with an attractive fireplace, a living room and the master bedroom with fireplace, access to the garden and a bathroom with shower. There are books and magazines for clients enjoyment as well as four bikes for client's use.
From the hall a stone staircase in white Carrara marble, leads to the first floor. The marble theme continues throughout the house with different coloured marble used in the various rooms.
The landscaped garden is fenced and measures about 5,000 sqm. It is composed of about 200 olive plants dating back over 200 years and also fruit trees. There is a pergola and barbeque amongst the olive trees, ideal for outdoor dining and the fenced swimming pool is set close to the villa. The swimming pool area is equipped with sunbeds, sun chairs and an external hot shower. There is also a sauna for guests enjoyment.

There really is something for everyone. Lucca is located at the foot of the Apuan Alps and is less than half an hour from the Tuscan coast. There are so many traces of it’s ancient history, from the footprint of the Roman amphitheatre to the archeological remains under the 12th Century church of Saints Giovanni and Reparata and the various towers and villas dating from the 12th to the 16th Centuries.
