Poggio del Vento - Summary

This villa is on a hilltop surrounded by 10 acres of landscaped grounds with park, vineyard, olive-grove and woods. It is just a short distance from the beautiful town of Orvieto, famous for its Gothic cathedral considered by many to be the best in Italy. The property is situated in Umbria, and offers the possibility to visit to southern Tuscany and northern Lazio including Roma, Florence, Todi, Viterbo, Montepulciano, Pienza, Bomarzo.

Guests will appreciate the garden with some ancient trees, where the owner's passion for gardening is evident in every corner, and the wonderful area near the private swimming pool. The house is all on one level, built to offer comfort and harmony. All the ceilings are covered with terracotta tiles and wooden beams, made from local trees, and the floors are covered with antique terracotta tiles which come from a X1Vc monastery. The traditional style is well integrated with the comfort of a modern property. All the bedrooms have a private bathroom. Guests that love to cook will certainly appreciate the kitchen area which is particularly large and well equipped, with an adjoining dining area completed with a fireplace to spend pleasant autumn evenings. Externally, the two wings of the building enclose a paved panoramic patio with views of the park and valley of Tevere, characterized by a profusion of flowers and a bright second loggia, also shaded, ideal for breakfasts and evenings.

From the patio area guests will love to walk in the panoramic park, crossing the well maintained lawn, along the small stone path which leads down to the swimming pool. You can continue your stoll past the pond and hammock whilst admiring the different varieties of trees, among bushes of rosemary, lavender and perfumed roses.

The swimming pool area is characterized by an ancient stone construction that includes two rooms; a changing room with two fitness machine, a shower and services bathroom and a second room with kitchen and fridge. The pool area, furnished with an external shower heated by a solar panels, is dominated by an external fireplace for the barbeque, a ping pong table and two wooden pergola’s with a dining table.
