Villa Serena - Summary

Villa Serena has a beautiful panoramic location, with views over the Tuscan/Umbrian countryside and the magical Lake Trasimeno. On the north side of the house are views of Colli del Trasimeno and the lake. To the west, the house overlooks the surrounding villages on hilltops and the volcanic Monte Cetona. The villa itself has been stylishly restored but has retained its authenticity, it fits perfectly into its surroundings. You can enjoy the well maintained Italian garden with flowers, plants, more than 700 olive, almond, hazelnut and walnut trees and a vineyard. The villa is definitely a unique place that guarantees relaxation and enjoyment. In the summer, you can enjoy the fresh products of the country when in season, including tomatoes, courgettes, cucumbers, grapes, cherries, apricots, peppers, courgettes and aubergines. 

On the west side of the house you will find a gazebo that is covered with flowers and grapes. There is also a barbeque for al fresco dinners. There are outdoor dining areas on the south and north sides of the house under a palm tree and an awning. The villa offers several outdoor lounging areas, some of which are sheltered from wind and sun. The lovely private pool is on the east side of the house so is warmed by the morning sun. The pool area is furnished with parasol, sunbeds, chairs and table. 

Guests may use the tennis court belonging to the next door property. This is about 300m from the villa and is easy accessible over via a gravel path. 

The pool is open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October. 

Access to the villa is via a 1 km gravel road.



The villa has a large living room with a built-in hi-fi system and large fireplace, Kitchen/dining room (also connected to the hi-fi system) with fireplace, large table that has seats for 16 people and a small breakfast table with seating for 6 people. Two separate staircases provide access to an entertainment room with a fireplace and a balcony overlooking the lake.

There are 5 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom. The villa has 5 bathrooms and a washroom. There is an additional sofa bed for 2 children.

Please note 2 bedrooms will be closed when this villa is rented for 8 people.

It is not surprising that Tuscany and Umbria are the most popular destinations in a country full of popular destinations! There are SO many reasons to visit the regions; from the simply but stunning local cuisine and wine to the rolling landscapes, from the medieval cities such as Lucca, great architecture and monuments in Pisa and the beautiful hill towns like San Gimignano. There really is something for everyone. Lucca is located at the foot of the Apuan Alps and is less than half an hour from the Tuscan coast. There are so many traces of it’s ancient history, from the footprint of the Roman amphitheatre to the archeological remains under the 12th Century church of Saints Giovanni and Reparata and the various towers and villas dating from the 12th to the 16th Centuries.
