Quinta do Peru, Azeitão

Quinta do Perú is an exclusive resort south of Lisbon, close to the lovely village of Azeitão, where there is a tradition of making "real" cheese with sheep's milk. Located in a forest of pine and cork trees near to the national park of Serra da Arrábida, the beaches of Alfarim, Galapos and Portinho are within easy driving distance. Most of the beaches have very good beach bars or restaurants. Quinta do Perú enjoys a tranquil setting and one of great natural beauty. The par 72 golf course, designed by Rocky Roquemore is one of the best in Europe and blends into the surrounding countryside. There are also many vineyards in the area where wine can be purchased directly - we enjoy Planalto (white) and Periquita (red).
