Travel come what may….
October 16, 2019
If you have a trip coming up and you are concerned about Brexit, deal or no deal, don’t be. You can still have that well deserved break but there are some simple things that you should do to be fully prepared.
- Check your passport. You will need 6 months remaining on your passport if you are travelling to Europe and it must be less than 10 years old. The passport office are working fast and efficiently to ensure people get their passports renewed swiftly. One of our team recently applied for a new passport and it took just over 7 days which was rather impressive!
- Check your travel insurance. After Brexit, the EHIC card may not be valid so it is important that you check that your travel insurance has healthcare cover that includes pre-existing conditions.
- Check if you need an International Driving Permit (IDP). You can check this on the Post Office website and, if you do, a quick trip to the post office and a meagre £5.50 will mean you can relax.
