Villa Meco is an outstanding, contemporary villa located in Aldeia do Meco, a quiet village just a stone's throw away from one of the finest beaches in the Lisbon area. This amazing property comes in two separate buildings both with stylish, modern furnishings.
There are six spacious suites, two fully equipped kitchens and two open plan living and dining rooms. Outside, there is a large, private, swimming pool which can be heated, eight sunbeds and a charcoal barbecue.
Due to the layout of the two villas, it is an ideal choice for families or large groups wanting to holiday together yet have their own space and privacy.
Meco beach and several restaurants can be reached on foot and, within a short drive, there is a supermarket and a pharmacy. Sesimbra is 11km away and Alfarim is 1.5km away, where you can find a reasonable range of shops, a bakery, butcher, bank, post office, supermarkets, and for those who like to cook their own fish/seafood, there are nearby fish markets at Sesimbra. The region has excellent wine cellars that you can visit. Wine, cheese and the small Swiss roll (tortas) are the specialities of the region. Sesimbra, the closest city, is famous for fish and shellfish restaurants. Also worth visiting is Arrábida Natural Park, where breathtaking views to the Atlantic have to be seen to be believed. Don't forget your camera!

We have a varied collection of properties in fabulous locations which are an easy drive from Lisbon Airport. Just 28kms south of Lisbon, across the River Tagus is the beautiful Arrábida National Park with breath taking scenery and beaches, stretching for some 22 miles between Sesimbra and Setúbal, this area is carpeted by wild flowers which are amongst the most colourful and varied in Iberia. The coastline at Sesimbra is beautiful and dramatic, the town has some fantastic seafood restaurants and local activities include an array of water sports, scuba diving, climbing, cycle trails, horse riding and boat trips. Sintra inspired Lord Byron to write 'Glorious Eden' and it is easy to see why. It is a picturesque town, amidst the pine-covered hills. The panoramic scenery and slightly cooler climate historically enticed the nobility and elite of Portugal, who constructed exquisite palaces, extravagant mansions and decorative gardens, most of which...
are now open to the public and well worth a visit. Quinta do Peru is also to the south of Lisbon, close to Azeitão. Located in a forest of pine and cork trees, it is an area of great natural beauty with an excellent golf course. Dolphin watching trips can be arranged and kayaks and sail boats can be hired in nearby Setúbal. The Herade da Aroeira is surrounded by 10kms of some of the best beaches in Portugal; Fonte da Telha has a number of small restaurants and beach bars which specialise in grilled fish - some of them have wonderful terraces - perfect for enjoying a cool glass of wine whilst watching the sun set. After night fall some turn into "discos". About 7kms from the resort there are a wide range of beach bars, all quite different, with something for every taste, from a simple wooden hut to the more sophisticated. The resort has two golf courses, carved from a dense pine forest, with tree lined fairways bordered by water. Aroeira hosted the 1996 and 1997 Portuguese Open, with the Donald Steel course opening in 2000 to rave reviews.
we love this part of Portugal. The fascinating history and spectacular buildings, the vibrant green landscape and dramatic coastline and the impressive golf courses make staying in this area a truly memorable experience.
