Villa Patricio has magnificent views across the Algarve countryside towards the sea. Located in a peaceful area in Estoi, this is the perfect choice for those wanting to retreat from their busy lives.
Inside is spacious and welcoming. The living/dining room has a large wooden table next to a sliding window allowing light to flood in and for guests to take advantage of the beautiful panorama. There is a cosy fireplace and flat screen TV with UK channels. The kitchen is also open-plan to the living areas with convenient access to the outside barbecue area. It has black marble work surfaces and a breakfast table.
The highlight of this property is, without doubt, the spectacular hillside position with views reaching as far as the islands and the Ria Formosa nature reserve. There is a pergola with outdoor dining furniture which can seat 10 people and comfy, outdoor sofas and sun loungers around the kidney shaped swimming pool so guests can enjoy this prime setting all day long.
Just below the pool area is a games room with pool table and table tennis which is ideal for those with young families.
We cannot think of a better way to enjoy this sensational countryside position, than relaxing by the swimming pool at Villa Patricio.
Due to its countryside location and elevated position the villa is approached via a particularly steep, unmade road. At certain times, and depending on recent weather conditions, it can become uneven and might be a little daunting to less confident drivers. We recommend daytime arrivals.

Faro is not just the home of The Algarve's only international Airport it is also the regions capital and is steeped in history with great sightseeing, restaurants, boat trips and lots of regular local festivals and events. Inland from Faro are Estoi and Santa Barbara de Nexe with sensational meadowland and away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas. Just to the east of Faro is Olhao, a charming fishing port which has managed to remain more or less unspoiled by tourism. Further east again is Tavira, a really pretty old town in which time seems to have stood still. While the surrounding areas have become developed the centre of the town seems a world away from the busy tourist resorts.
Things we love
Far fewer tourists and lots of unspoiled places to visit plus restaurants are more reasonably priced.
Things to be aware of
We can't think of any!!
