This family villa is in a beautiful, quiet area, just 1km from the delightful beaches of Praia Grande and Praia das Macas. The beautiful and unique town of Sintra, classified by UNESCO as World Heritage Site, is just 8kms away. Along the coast are numerous golden, sandy beaches; Samarra, Magoito, Azenhas do Mar and Praia da Adraga. The property is also close to some very good restaurants and some of Portugal's best known golf courses, such as Penha Longa and Quinta da Beloura are just a short drive.
Built on two levels, Casa Aquamarine is in a lovely residential area, with other family villas, sheltered by tall pine trees. The style is typical of the region with comfortable furnishings. Three of the bedrooms are on the first floor, two with views over the garden and one with a small balcony overlooking the pool. A few steps lead to the lower level where there is a charming dining room with French windows opening to the pool area and to a lovely patio surrounded by pine trees.
The garden is sheltered by pine trees offering welcome shade during the warmer months.
Sintra, Lisbon Area
Situated to the south of Lisbon, Azeitão is a pretty and unspoilt village with a tradition of making amazing cheese with sheep's milk. Located in a forest of pine and cork trees near to the national park of Serra da Arrábida, the beaches of Alfarim, Galapos and Portinho are within easy driving distance. Most of the beaches have very good beach bars or restaurants. There are also many vineyards in the area where wine can be purchased directly - we enjoy Planalto (white) and Periquita (red). Quinta do Perú is a golfing resort and enjoys a tranquil setting and one of great natural beauty. The par 72 golf course, designed by Rocky Roquemore is one of the best in Europe and blends into the surrounding countryside.
We love this area and very much enjoy the local food.
We can't think of any!
