Villa Hatha is set in the Alentejo region in a wonderfully secluded space where guests can reconnect with nature and completely relax. Set on a large plot and surrounded by lush green countryside, cork oak fields and vineyards, it feels a million miles from civilisation yet is reassuringly close to the beach and a manageable drive to the historic cities of Lisbon and Evora.
Traditionally the houses in this region are made out of rammed earth construction methods called taipa (mud walls). It is an excellent thermal and acoustic insulator meaning air conditioning is usually not necessary during the summer and winters are cosy.
The interior has wooden beams and white walls and is decorated and furnished with calming, neutral colours and natural materials creating a boho, beach house vibe throughout.
The property consists of two houses, 20 metres from each other, sleeping 20 people in total, making this an ideal choice for larger groups or families wanting to spread out.
Outside continues the natural theme with a lovely shaded alfresco area with wooden awning, chill out areas with hammocks, stone table and tree stump seating and a raised swimming pool with water feature and sun loungers for the ultimate relaxation.

Main House: Kitchen, with dining table for 10 people and fireplace. Living room with access to the garden. 2 double bedrooms with queen size beds. Shower room. Twin bedroom (can be made up as double by request) with en-suite shower room and mezzanine with twin beds (can be made up as a double by request). Attic room with 5 single beds and a play area (entrance to this area is through the hallway and a 1 metre doorway. Please note, 3 beds are placed under a low ceiling so care must be taken. Please see photos).
Cottage: Kitchen. Dining area. Living room with fireplace. 2 double bedrooms. Single bedroom. Shower room. Exterior suite with king size bed and shower room (this room may be suitable for those with limited mobility).
Limited Mobility - This property has a bedroom and shower room on the ground floor with little or no steps in the living areas or to the swimming pool/garden, so may be considered suitable for someone with limited mobility. As everyone's needs are different, please check with us at time of booking to ensure suitability for your group.
